ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — The former top attorney for the Florida Virtual School is accused of making boorish comments and using school employees for his outside business activities in an investigative report.

Frank Kruppenbacher resigned from his job as general counsel last August on the same day the school's board of trustees voted to hire an outside law firm to investigate a dozen complaints against him.

The report was made public Tuesday at a meeting of the board of the virtual school. The school is the state's public online institution, serving more than 200,000 students a year with more than 180 online courses.

Kruppenbacher denies the allegations, telling the Orlando Sentinel they were retaliation for his finding waste and mismanagement at the school.
