Poll: Bloomberg has highest lead over Trump in Florida

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A new poll from the University of North Florida may provide some insight to where Florida is leaning in the 2020 Presidential Election.

Florida, and its 29 electoral votes, are critical to any path to the White House. It's been a key battleground state.

The poll shows incumbent President Donald Trump losing to three Democratic challengers.

Mike Bloomberg ranked the highest with 50 percent choosing the former mayor and 44 percent choosing the current president.

Joe Biden ranked second of the democrats with 49 percent of voters choosing the former vice president over Trump.

Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders both tied with Trump in the poll. Sanders tied with Trump at 48 percent and Warren tied with 47 percent.

Pete Buttigieg was the highest ranked democrat projected to lose to Trump with the former mayor getting 45 percent and Trump receiving 49 percent.

The poll also shows Amy Klobuchar with 44 percent to Trump's 48 percent.

The poll was conducted by the University of North Florida Public Opinion Research Lab from Feb. 10 to Feb. 18 included 725 registered voters answering the questions of pollsters over the phone. The party breakdown of the respondents were 37 percent Democrat, 35 percent Republican, 28 percent no party/other. The margin of error in the poll was 3.6 percent.
