Tri-Rail service is being delayed Tuesday morning after a train struck and killed a pedestrian in Broward County.
The incident occurred around 5 a.m. between the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood Airport and the Broward Boulevard stops near the Interstate 595 overpass, said Tri-Rail spokeswoman Bonnie Arnold.
At 7:50 a.m., Tri-Rail has eight buses in place to take train commuters around the crash.
Commuters can expect hour and a half delays. Arnold said commuters should use a different method of transportation if possible.
