MIAMI BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- Police in Miami Beach are searching for one of their K-9s who bolted out the front door of his handler's home.
The black and tan Belgian Malinois named Colt is just three weeks from finishing the agency's four-month training program. He was last seen around 2 a.m. Thursday after returning home from a training session.
Police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez said in a news release that 2-year-old Colt has a cone around his neck due to a back toe amputation.
Rodriguez says they've shared the information on social media and are asking anyone who sees Colt to call 911.
