BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. -- A Pompano Beach man died in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 early Sunday.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Willie James Kemp was driving his 2000 Ford pickup truck northbound on I-95, south of Atlantic Boulevard at 4:58 a.m.
For unknown reasons, his vehicle swerved to the right shoulder, then over-corrected and traveled across all lanes towards the left shoulder where the front and left side collided against the median wall.
After impact, Kemp was ejected from the vehicle and landed on the left shoulder of the highway.
He died as a result of his injuries at the scene.
The case is still pending investigation.
