A voluntary market withdrawal of assorted Blue Buffalo products was issued at the end of February.

Just one week after the recall, a woman in Lakeland, Fla., says she found a piece of metal in another Blue Buffalo product.

PetSmart put out a letter to its customers that Blue Buffalo issued a voluntary market withdrawal of 17 varieties of Blue Divine Delights 3.5 ox and Blue Wilderness Trail Trays 3.5 oz. cups.

Helen Hughes knew about the recall but she knew the food she had was not part of it.

"I started mixing up the food, and I said, what's that!," said Hughes.

Hughes said she put about a teaspoon of the 'Homestyle Recipe' for puppies in Bindi's dry dog food.

"It was sharp on two edges and I said wow, somebody could have killed their dog."

Hughes had the Chicken with Vegetables flavor with barcode 40243 10573 --- that number is not part of the voluntary recalls.

Hughes called the PetSmart off US 98 where she purchased it for a full refund.

She also called to talk to a representative with the dog food company, "they told me it was a manual error," said Hughes, "she said a piece of equipment broke and got into the food."

Blue Buffalo did not respond to our request at the time of this story.
