PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — A Florida Panhandle woman who tried to torture and kill her ex-husband and then set their home on fire has been sentenced to 30 years in prison.

Local media outlets report that 60-year-old Nadine Sapp Harris was sentenced Tuesday. She was convicted last month of attempted first-degree murder and several other charges.

Prosecutors say Harris spent weeks distributing crumpled paper throughout the Escambia County home, in addition to planting more than 115 bottles filled with gasoline and dousing mattresses with lighter fluid.

After luring her ex-husband to the house in June 2014 with a text saying that she was vacating, she pulled a gun on him. The gun went off during a struggle, but no one was hit. Harris also shot her ex-husband with a stun gun and pepper spray before witnesses called authorities.
