TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida zoo is caring for two panther kittens after their mother suffered from an unknown neurological disorder.

The mysterious disorder affects panthers and bobcats and is being investigated by Florida scientists.

The kittens are being cared for at ZooTampa at Lowry Park -- a top facility for endangered species.

Once the panthers are out of quarantine and get health clearance, the zoo plans to put them on public view.

Researchers hope the mother's necropsy results and diagnostic testing will help experts determine what is causing the neurological disorder.
