Gainesville Police Officer Bobby White made headlines last month after he showed up for a noise complaint and ended up playing a game of basketball with some neighborhood kids.
He came back a few days later with NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal.

Now, Officer White is bringing a new surprise. He’s created a backyard, concrete basketball court and established the Basketball Cop Foundation, created by White to raise money for equipment for kids in the area. A GoFundMehas been set up for the effort.
“My plan is simple. It's very sustainable,” White told The Gainesville Sun. “If I get the funding we will be able to do projects all over the city, country and even outside the country.”
