Crews were responding to a Fed-Ex plane on fire at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport Friday.
According to the FAA, FedEx 910, a DC-10 aircraft, collapsed as it was on the runway shortly after landing at the Ft. Lauderdale -Hollywood International Airport at 6 pm today.
Footage from witnesses showed smoke billowing from the plane as it sat on a grassy area off the runway.
Aerial footage showed the plane on the ground with crews working to put out an engine fire with foam.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue said they were responding to the scene.
Officials said the aircraft just arrived from Memphis and both pilots escaped from aircraft.
A ground stop was issued at the airport and delays were expected.
