PALM RIVER, Fla. (AP) — Sheriff's officials in Florida have seized 60 roosters and arrested four people following a raid on a cockfighting ring.

Hillsborough County Sheriff's deputies executed the search warrant on Tuesday and found evidence of the operation, including cages and what appeared to be an indoor arena.

The Tampa Bay Times reports the county's Pet Resource Center took the roosters and four dogs.

The four people who were arrested face felony charges of possession of an animal for fighting and owning equipment for animal fighting.

Investigators are searching for a fifth person associated with the cockfighting ring.
