FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities are searching for a suspect after deputies say an 82-year-old man was run over and killed following an argument at a park in South Florida.
Multiple media outlets report the incident happened Wednesday evening at the Everglades Holiday Park in Fort Lauderdale.
Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue spokesman Mike Jachles says the victim and another man, who is in his 20s, got into a dispute.
Sheriff's spokeswoman Gina Carter says the argument ended with the younger man getting into his truck, striking the victim and then fleeing.
The unidentified victim was airlifted to the hospital, where he died.
Deputies have released surveillance video that they said shows the suspect driving away in a white Ford pickup truck.
Investigators say the two men didn't know each other.
