THE VILLAGES, Fla. — (WESH/NBC) - A large hole caused by a water main break swallowed a minivan with two people inside the vehicle Thursday in Central Florida.

A minivan in The Villages, Florida, was being sucked further and further into the hole when good Samaritans helped rescue the two passengers inside.

No one was hurt.

Dave Harris, who lives nearby, said his wife drove by the spot just moments before the van fell into the road.

“I went inside to get her and to show my wife, and by that, time the water was halfway up the motor, the hood,” Harris said.

The water main break and road have already been repaired.
