MARATHON, Fla. -- The U.S. Coast Guard recovered two bodies from a downed aircraft Sunday in the Florida Keys.
Coast Guard Sector Key West watchstanders received a call about a debris field from a possible downed aircraft north of Marathon airport.
When crews arrived on scene they confirmed the debris was from a Cessna high wing single engine plane that had left from the airport.
Two deceased people were recovered and their bodies were transferred to the Monroe County Sheriff's Office.
