Authorities are looking for a man who was caught on a cellphone camera robbing a woman at gunpoint in North Lauderdale.
The robbery happened Wednesday evening in the 6800 block of Southwest 16th Court, Broward Sheriff's Office officials said.
The 19-year-old victim was walking home when the suspect approached her from behind, pulled out a revolver and put it to the side of her neck. He stole her schoolbag and cellphone and fled the scene.
Authorities said the woman's neighbor, Keith Bankston, noticed how the suspect was approaching the victim and started to record the interaction. Bankston, who used to work in law enforcement, didn't realize it was a robbery until he asked the woman if she knew the suspect and she answered "no."
"I'm really skeptical about everything about being out there," the victim told NBC 6 Thursday. "I'm scared to see someone look at me for more than a minute."
The suspect was about 5-foot-10 and was last seen in a gold Saturn. Anyone with information is asked to call Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
