LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- Scary images have been released of an armed robbery in North Fort Myers in which the suspect aimed a rifle at a store employee.
According to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, it happened just before midnight on Sunday.
Investigators say a white male walked into the Circle K on Pondella Road at Barrett Road armed with an "AR-style rifle". The suspect demanded money from the register, and the cashier complied.
After getting a bag full of cash, the suspect fled the store on foot onto Pondella Road.
The suspect is described as approximately 5’9”, medium build, with blue or light colored eyes, wearing a black long-sleeved shirt, brown boots and a black bandana covering his mouth and eyes.
Anyone with information on the identity and whereabouts of the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
