OCALA, Fla. (AP) — An alligator was removed from a retention pond near a Florida elementary school.

The Ocala Star-Banner reports that a trapper responded and caught the 6-foot reptile early Thursday morning at Shady Hill Elementary School.
No students were in the area when the gator was discovered.
