GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Police say two armed men wearing masks fired shots from the front door of a north Florida home, killing a man who was holding a baby.
Gainesville police spokesman Ben Tobias said in a news release early Thursday that the baby girl was shot in the arm and another man in the home was also shot. Both are being treated at a Gainesville hospital. Their injuries aren't considered life-threatening.
Tobias says the suspects left before police arrived.
Investigators are trying to determine the identities of the men, but say they don't believe they're still in the area.
The names of the victims haven't been released. No further details were immediately available.
