PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- About 1,000 people participated in the "Walk To End Alzheimer's" on Saturday morning.
The event began at the Port St. Lucie Civic Center.
More than $100,000 was raised to fund Alzheimer's research.
WPTV's Jon Shainman served as emcee for the event and WPTV's Kelley Dunn was in attendance as well.
There are two other walks coming up, one on Oct. 19 in West Palm Beach and another on Nov. 10 in Boca Raton.
