A 25-year-old Port St. Lucie woman was killed early Sunday morning when the car she was driving on Floresta Drive rolled over.
Stephanie Fuentes was driving a Ford Explorer with her husband in the passenger seat. The car was traveling north on Floresta Drive at around 2:05 a.m. when Fuentes lost control.
Investigators believe she over-corrected, causing the car to roll and ejecting Fuentes. The car struck a tree and came to a rest on top of Fuentes.
St. Lucie County Fire Rescue responded to the scene and pronounced Fuentes dead at the scene. Her husband, Carl Georges, was not injured.
