Port St. Lucie police are searching for a man  accused of an armed robbery at a Shell gas station.

Officials say a man entered a Shell Gas Station at 299 SW Port St. Lucie Boulevard Saturday at around 9:30 p.m. and  pointed a handgun at the clerk, demanding money.

The clerk handed all the  money from the register to the suspect. He fled the store and left the area by unknown means of transportation.

The handgun appeared to be a semi automatic pistol, black frame with nickel slide, officials say.
