Preslie Jenkins, girl shot in road rage incident, now in the care of a family friend

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Preslie Jenkins, the 3-year-old girl who was shot in the head during a Port St. Lucie road rage incident, is being cared for by a family friend according to the Department of Children and Families (DCF).

Both Preslie and her brother Braeden were placed with the family friend.

There is no word yet on the reasons behind DCF getting involved.

Preslie Jenkins was a passenger in a vehicle that was involved in a shooting on October 28, 2018 in Port St. Lucie.

She was initially hospitalized in critical condition, but has since been released from the hospital.
