Man suspected of robbing Family Dollar store

An armed man robbed a Family Dollar store in Port St. Lucie Sunday, according to police.

The gunman stuck up the store at 577 NW Prima Vista Blvd. around 9:25 p.m.

The clerk told police the man walked around the store for about 10 minutes before approaching him with a black handgun in his waist and demanding money.

Police describe the suspect as a white man 6’ to 6’2” tall and weighing approximately 230 pounds. They say he may be in his 40s and was wearing a brown shirt, blue jean shorts, white tennis shoes and a dark blue or black Fedora-type hat.
