Police search for man who attempted to rob a bank in Port St. Lucie, but bailed out

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- A man attempted to rob a bank in Port St. Lucie on Friday.

Police say a white man entered the Sun Trust Bank at 10575 S. US 1 and showed the teller a note that stated "no dye packs" and other unknown sentences.

The teller turned around and the man fled out the front door.

No money was exchanged and police say he did not insinuate that he had a weapon and no weapon was seen.

The suspect is a white male, last seen wearing a black cap, white collared shirt, dark pants (possibly jeans) and black shoes.

After information about the robbery was shared on social media, citizens contacted police with possible suspect information.

The suspect is identified as 35-year-old Roger Alan Moore Jr. His last known address is Colony Court Motel at 1007 S. US Hwy 1, Room 14 in Fort Pierce.
