PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Authorities investigating a violent home invasion in Port St. Lucie say they have arrested two suspects.

Men wearing masks kicked in a door at a home in the 300 block of NW Prima Vista Blvd. on Tuesday some time before 10:15 p.m., police said.

The crooks held the residents at gunpoint and forced them to the ground.

Police said the suspects stole what was described as a large amount of cash and took off in a newer-model, dark-colored four-door sedan.

No one was hurt.

Police arrested 25-year-old Toussaint Buneko Hamilton and 23-Year-old Kristoff Akeem Taylor Wednesday evening. They charged both with home invasion robbery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and grand theft.

Investigators are working on leads of other possible suspects.
