PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. -- Port St. Lucie police say a group of individuals were going through unlocked cars Saturday morning in the 5800 block of Zenith Drive.

Sgt. Frank Sabol with Port St. Lucie police says the suspects found the keys to a car that was in the driveway of a home while burglarizing an unlocked vehicle. They moved another car that was blocking it and were able to steal the car with the key they found.

Items were taken from seven cars on the block that were unlocked.

Sabol says the crimes were similar to another incident earlier this week when a truck was stolen after the suspects found a key in another unlocked vehicle.
