Authorities have arrested a man they say robbed two St. Lucie County convenience stores using a cane modified with a sharp tip.
The robberies took place February 8, at Metro Gas in the 1200 block of W. Midway Rd. and the Met Mart at 100 N.W. Airoso Blvd., according to the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators accuse 40-year-old Robert Boland of Fort Pierce of threatening an attendant with the cane.
Boland faces two counts of robbery with a deadly weapon and his bond was set $300,000, the sheriff's office said.
