Thanks to smoke detectors, two people on the Treasure Coast made it to safety after fire broke out in their mobile home, according to the St. Lucie County Fire District.
The blaze happened on San Roberto north of Fort Pierce Tuesday morning.
The fire district said the fire began in an A/C handler and investigators determined it was accidental.
Florida’s Coast to Heartland Chapter of the American Red Cross also responded and said it will help two people displaced by the fire.
