Police make more arrests in murder of teen on New Year's Day in Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — Police have made two additional arrests in the deadly shooting of an 18-year-old man in Fort Pierce on New Year's Day.

Officers said Jamal Booker was found shot around 11:45 p.m. in the 1200 block of North 29th St. He died from his injuries three days later.

Fort Pierce police announced Thursday they arrested two more suspects, 31-year-old Dewayne Fisher, as well as a 17-year-old girl. Both are from Broward County.

28-year-old Amir Tafari Muhammad and 23-year-old Megan Nichole Craig were already under arrest in the case.

The Fort Pierce Police Department said it worked with Fort Lauderdale police and the Broward Sheriff's Office.

All four suspects are now facing first-degree murder charges.
