An 18-year-old Fort Pierce woman died after a head-on collision on Saturday.
Fort Pierce Police say Cheyenne Hayes was driving south on South U.S. Highway 1 in Fort Pierce at 1:05 p.m. in a white Chevy truck.
In the 5400 block of South U.S. Highway 1, Hayes lost control of the truck and veered into the northbound lanes, colliding head on into a white Honda Accord driving by Ruth Lombrage, 30, of Fort Pierce.
Both drivers were transported to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
Hayes was later pronounced dead and Lombrage was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
The case remains under investigation.
