UPDATE: Fort Pierce police police say 18-year-old Fearea Lee Sullivan of Fort Pierce has been arrested in connection with the attempted robbery of a PNC Bank on Virginia Avenue.

Authorities say someone saw her photograph on social media and tipped Crime Stoppers.

Police say Sullivan was arrested September, 8 and charged with attempted robbery.

EARLIER:

A Fort Pierce bank was the target of a robbery Thursday and police say their suspect is a woman.

The target was the PNC Bank at 500 Virginia Avenue.

Police said the suspect entered the bank around 11:44 a.m. and gave a teller a note demanding money. Police initially said she left with an undisclosed amount, but later corrected that to say she left without any money.

Investigators say the woman was wearing a blue dress with a scarf on her head.

She was last seen heading south on South U.S. 1.

Police are circulating her photo on social media.
