DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — Delray Beach kicked off the holiday season in spectacular fashion Tuesday night with the lighting of a towering 100-foot Christmas tree at Old School Square in downtown Delray Beach.

The festive ceremony began at 6 p.m., drawing crowds to witness the illumination of the massive tree that serves as the centerpiece of the city's holiday celebrations.

Following the tree lighting, visitors were encouraged to explore the Yuletide Street Festival, which featured an array of holiday activities, including food vendors, ice skating, and opportunities to meet Santa Claus.
