DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — It's a new year, but the need for food distributions has not slowed down.
Volunteers at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Delray Beach hosting another food distribution event at their campus in DELRAY beach
The church has been hosting food distribution events three times a week each week since April.
Joseph Dawkins, the executive pastor at the church, said their mission is to take care of the community during this challenging time.
"People don't know that others really, really care. [It's] not just a facade of caring, ... and that’s the message we want to give out. There are people who care about you out here and are trying to help you," Dawkins said.
Church volunteers also deliver food door to door for elderly residents who cannot visit the church for food.
