The Delray Beach Police Department has a new member in the family.
K9 Axel, a 72-pound Belgian Malinois and German Shepherd mix, was born in the Czech Republic in 2014.
According to a Delray Beach Police Department Facebook post, Axel will start K9 school with his handler, Officer Robin Bolanos, on February 28.
