EARLIER STORY

Delray Beach police say a 43-year-old woman has been missing since Wednesday morning.

On Monday Marie Cassandra Hutchinson's mother spoke to the media.

"Marie is not like a little leaf or a paper to blow away like this. Please, everyone out there, hear my voice..."

Hutchinson is believed to have walked out of her home on NE 5th Court at about 6:30 a.m.

Police said she has the mental capacity of a small child and gets violent when she feels threatened or if someone tries to grab or detain her.

Hutchinson was last seen wearing a pink short-sleeve shirt with white flowers on it, pink pants and black sneakers with a white stripe on the side.

She is 5 feet 3 inches, weighs about 110 pounds and has medium-length hair that is pulled back.

"We're worried about her being out somewhere on her own. She doesn't have a cellphone with her or any cash. So she may be hungry. We're worried someone possibly took advantage of her, given her mental capabilities," explains Dani Moschella, with the Delray Beach police department.

Contact Detective Gary Ferreri at 561-243-7867 if you know of her whereabouts.
