Two people are under arrest after Boynton Beach police say they found 16 needles, and one of them about to shoot up heroin, in a car next to a sleeping baby.

According to police, a man and woman were in a Lexus that had made a stop at a convenience store parking lot that police say is known for drug deals.

An officer later saw the car parked on East Boynton Beach Boulevard and pulled up next to it.

He began questioning the pair and the man later admitted buying heroin and trying to shoot it, the report states.

He was identified as Zachary Ryan Quintero, 21, of Lantana. He faces charges of child neglect and heroin and paraphernalia possession.

The woman was identified as Layla Emily Koski, 23, also of Lantana. She faces a charge of child neglect and her vehicle was seized
