BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A Boynton Beach man has been arrested in Maryland in connection with the shooting death of his girlfriend.
Shevon Green, 38, was taken into custody Tuesday in Parkville, Maryland.
Boynton Beach police said Green shot and killed his 46-year-old girlfriend during a fight at a home they shared with the woman's son on Northeast Fourth Court.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the woman's son woke up shortly after 6 a.m. Sunday after hearing Green shout, "Babe, babe, babe. Oh my God. Oh my God."
When the woman's son entered his mother's bedroom, he saw her lying on the bed with Green standing next to her, police said. Green told him to call 911, and while he was making the call, he saw Green grab his belonging and leave the house, he later told police.
The woman's son then heard his mother breathing heavily, noticed a blood stain on her shirt and realized she had been shot, police said.

A friend of the victim later told police that she was with the victim at a nightclub in Fort Lauderdale earlier in the morning and saw the victim with dancing with another man. It turned out that Green was at the club and, later when they were in the club's parking lot, she heard the victim arguing with someone on her cellphone.
The friend told police that she saw Green as they were leaving the club and looked at them with "a death stare."
"She added that if looks could kill, she would have been dead right there," the report said.
The friend told police that Green and the victim were texting each other back and forth during the ride home. When they returned to the home, Green was there waiting for them, she told police.
After the shooting, Green fled to Maryland, where Baltimore County police and U.S. marshals found him and arrested him.
"I'm very pleased we were able to take this violent offender off the streets and bring him to justice quickly," Boynton Beach Police Chief Michael Gregory said. "I hope this will bring a little more peace to the victim's family."
Green is expected to be brought back to Palm Beach County to face a charge of second-degree murder.
