Shell casings litter Boynton Beach streets after gunfire

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. - Boynton Beach police are still looking for the person who sprayed bullets into the air Monday night.

Investigators found 63 spent .223-caliber shell casings between 240 N.W. 20th Court North and Northwest Second Street.

The department released photos of the scene on its Facebook page.

Two people were hurt by the gunfire which police said came from an assault rifle.

Police are asking the public for information and urge them to call detectives at 561-732-8116 or Palm Beach County Crime Stoppers at 800-458-TIPS.
