BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — K9 units are preparing to be put to the test during the 8th Annual South Florida Police K9 competition.
The teams practiced Thursday evening for the competition that will begin with an obstacle course.
Boynton Beach Police Officer Patrick Roedel and his new partner K9 Bane will participate in the event.
"You got to come see these dogs and see what they're actually capable of. If you don't know and you've never seen it, you'll be amazed at what they can do, how fast they are, how they can apprehend somebody, or even something as simple as their obedience. Something you'll never see at home, The way these dogs listen to us, is second to none," said Officer Roedel.
The competition will take place Saturday, March 23, at Boynton Beach High School.
