A child drowned in Boynton Beach Sunday evening, according to Boynton Beach police.
A 23-month-old girl was found floating face down in the family pool just before 6 p.m., police said.
Relatives at the home in the 100 block of SE 6th Avenue, along with a neighbor, tried to resuscitate her, police said.
Boynton Beach Fire Rescue was called to the scene and transported the toddler to the hospital where she was pronounced dead, according to a police spokesperson.
