A man suspected of committing a crime spree in Boynton Beach has been captured in Virginia, according to Boynton Beach Police.

Officials say 42-year-old Bryan K. Malone started the crime spree on December 9 when he ate $41 worth of food at Scully's restaurant and left without paying the bill.

Eight days later, police say Malone tried to snatch a 64-year-old woman's purse in the parking lot of the Seagate community. The woman bit Malone's hand and screamed after he attempted to strangle her. He took off running.

The next day, Malone broke into a woman's room at the Atlantic Lodge Motel while she was showering and her daughter was sleeping. Malone stole $75 dollars from a counter top, investigators say.

Malone is currently in the Chesterfield County Jail in Virginia. According to officials, he will be extradited to Palm Beach County. He faces charges of attempted robbery, battery, burglary and grand theft.
