Bomb threat used to rob Boynton bank, police say

A man who claimed he had a bomb robbed a bank in Boynton Beach Friday, according to police.

Around 2:15 that afternoon police said the man indicated on a note that he had an explosive and he put the message against the glass of a teller’s window at the Regions Bank on West Gateway Boulevard.

He took off with cash in a car described as a newer model white Ford Fiesta.

Detectives are looking for a clean-shaven white man in his early 40s who is about 6 feet tall. He was wearing sunglasses, latex gloves and a large tan straw landscaping hat.
