BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.- Two people are dead, a third person is injured after a shooting in Boynton Beach.

Police are investigating a deadly shooting on NW 12th Avenue. They say this is possibly an attempted robbery.

The shooting happened before 4:13 a.m. When police arrived, they found two men dead outside a home on the 400 block of NW 12th Avenue.

24-year-old Cedric Adams and 25-year-old Jerome Grahm, both from Riviera Beach, were killed in the incident.

A third man, 31-year-old Oraine Goldbourne of Boynton Beach, was struck in the shoulder and rushed to Delray Medical Center.

Goldbourne told detectives that the two men tried to rob him at gunpoint and he was in fear for his life, so he removed the handgun from his waistband and exchanged fire with the two men. He said he called 911 after getting hurt.

Police say the community is not in danger.

Neighbors nearby say they are shocked and upset.

"No one likes this man. It puts a blight, a bad, dark cloud over our neighborhood and understand that the people were not from around here as seemingly, usually this is what takes place in the past. People not from around here come and bring trouble," says minister Bernard Wright.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Toby Athol or Det. William Muhleisen at 561-732-8116 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 800-458-TIPS. You can remain anonymous. Tips can also be submitted via MyPD app or BBPD.org.
