SUBURBAN BOCA RATON, Fla. — Deputies are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that happened inside a West Boca Raton home Monday afternoon.

The incident happened in the 22000 block of 57th Circle, in the Hammock of Sandalfoot neighborhood.

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, the bodies of a man and a woman were found by a 17-year-old who arrived home from school.

Tuesday PBSO identified the couple as 53-year-old Laura Randall and 45-year-old Gregory Schatz.

Deputies say Schatz shot Randall before turning the gun on himself.

The relationship between the teen and the victims is unknown at this time.

Neighbor Lucas Fecci said the people who live at the home are relatively new to the neighborhood. He had met with them a few months ago when they moved in.

"It's a friendly, nice neighborhood. Never had any issues. I've lived here 12 to 13 years and this is the second thing that's happened in neighborhood," said Fecci.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office shut down the street, letting only residents come in.
