The Camino Real Bascule Bridge in Boca Raton reopened Wednesday after repairs.
The city says "EPW teams diagnosed and repaired a mechanical malfunction of the west bascule span that resulted in the bridge’s closure."
After an inspection team surveyed the bridge repairs, it was reopened.
The bridge on East Camino Real was abruptly closed Wednesday due to "machinery failure of the west bascule span."
Drivers and pedestrians were urged to use East Palmetto Park Road or East Hillsboro Boulevard via Federal Highway and Ocean Boulevard as alternate routes.
