BOCA RATON, Fla. — No ban on plastic straws. Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer said Monday.
Mayor Scott Singer says he is worried a ban would hurt residents with disabilities, businesses and individual choice.
Instead, the city council will encourage voluntary reductions of single-use plastics including straws, drinkware and plastic bottles.
