A pedestrian died after walking into the path of a car Sunday night in Okeechobee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
62-year-old Howard Francis Cohen was attempting to cross U.S. Highway 441 to get to his mobile home park when he and a Lincoln Continental collided, FHP said.
Cohen, who was from Okeechobee, died at the scene, according to Okeechobee County Fire Rescue.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
