Authorities say a pickup truck struck and killed two pedestrians Wednesday night in in Okeechobee County.
Carly Morgan Walls and Jessy Joseph Vayda were walking north on SE US 441 about 9:45 when a white Ford pickup hit them, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Walls died at the scene and Vayda died later at Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, FHP said.
The case remains under investigation.
