NORTH PALM BEACH, Fla.-- The Village of North Palm Beach came together to honor veterans Monday.
Congressman Brian Mast attended the ceremony at Veterans Memorial Park.
The village unveiled a memorial marker for Gold Star families.
Local Boy Scouts also delivered cards to all of the veterans at the event.
“It’s so great because the kids realize- soldiers, what they sacrifice for freedom and I’m glad they recognize this," said Air Force veteran John Luksa.
“I feel really honored to go up to these veterans and shake their hands and say thank you for your service to our country," said Boy Scout Louis Rosado.
South Florida Science Center CEO Kate Arrizza was the keynote speaker. She served as an officer in the Navy for seven years.
