JUPITER, Fla. -- The inaugural "Tug of War to stop cancer" event was held Sunday on the beach in Jupiter.
Teams dug into the sand and tugged against each other behind the Jupiter Civic Center.
The event raised awareness and money to help fight against cancer.
All funds benefitted the Scripps Research Institute in Jupiter.
The participating teams wore different colored shirts representing differend kinds of cancer.
There was also a raffle to raise money and a trophy for the winning team.
